Divinity Candy

Amount Measure Ingredient - Preparation Method
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup light Karo syrup
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites

Mix sugar, syrup and water together. Cook until it forms a hard ball in water. Beat egg whites. Pour mixture over beaten egg whites. Stir until cool. Add nuts.

Glazed Pecans

Amount Measure Ingredient - Preparation Method
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp light corn syrup
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups pecan halves

Cook first 4 ingredients to soft ball stage, remove from heat. Add vanilla and pecans. Stir until creamy and pecans are coated. Turn onto foil and seperate.

Microwave Carmel Popcorn

Amount Measure Ingredient - Preparation Method
2/3 cup popcorn (9 - 10 cups of popped corn)
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar - packed
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Mix margarine, sugar, and corn syrup in 2 quart bowl and bring to boil in microwave (about 2 minutes). Then, cook on high for 2 minutes. Remove from microwave and stir in salt, soda, and vanilla. Pour over popped corn in large brown paper bag and stir. Roll down paper bag and cook on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Take out and shake. Cook again for 1 1/2 minutes. Take out and shake. Cook for 45 seconds and pour onto waxed paper.
